About the Concert

On Saturday, April 12, 2014, the Charlotte Concert Band will present its final concert of the season at 8pm at Queens University’s Dana Auditorium. The concert is entitled “Spectrum” and features music that depicts light and color in various ways. The highlight of the evening will be a performance of George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, featuring piano soloist, Cynthia Lawing, of Davidson College. The band will also perform works by J. S. Bach, James Curnow, Percy Grainger, and Eric Whitacre. Admission is free and open to the public.
