	*MISSION*
	To encourage lifelong participation in music through outstanding performances of classic concert band repertoire.
	*GOALS*
	To prepare outstanding performances of quality artistic wind literature, both original works and transcriptions. To provide adult wind and percussion players with enjoyable performance opportunities. To be a performance model for area middle school and high school band students. To encourage participation in area school band programs, and to encourage students to continue performing after graduation. To showcase the talents of Charlotte area musicians. To build an audience for bands and band music, and to reinforce the image of the concert band as a valid medium of artistic expression. To enhance the cultural life of Charlotte and its surrounding region.
