ABOUT CCB
A MUSICAL TRADITION FOR nearly 60 years
The Charlotte Concert Band (CCB) is a vibrant, volunteer community band of instrumental musicians in Charlotte, North Carolina. Our vision is to be Charlotte’s leading community instrumental ensemble, enriching the city’s culture and providing creative outlets for musicians from all walks of life.
We are a non-profit 501c3 organization and all of our funding comes primarily from donations and ticket sales. As a community band, our goal is to serve all parts of the community, so we keep tickets at a reasonable cost.
Since the band's formation in 1966, CCB members have developed friendships that last a lifetime. Some of our members have played together for more than 40 years and others moved to the greater Charlotte region just recently.
Our band personnel includes musicians from across the greater Charlotte region. Our vocations span the spectrum. We are active music educators, retired college professors, health care professionals, nuclear engineers, marketing executives and more. Regardless of our background, each week we are delighted come together and make music that we can share with our community.
