What to expect

Our ensemble
The Charlotte Concert Band is similar to a university symphonic band — many outstanding players including some professionals, but primarily dedicated amateurs who love to perform and make valuable contributions within their sections.
Season commitment
We'd love to have you as part of the Charlotte Concert Band family. Our season typically runs from August through April. While our ensemble is often at capacity, vacancies do arise throughout the season. Each July we reach out to prospective members for the upcoming season — if a spot opens in your section we'll be in touch. Members are expected to attend a minimum of 2/3 of all rehearsals and concerts.
Annual dues
Annual membership dues are $100. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Charlotte Concert Band relies on dues and donations to keep music alive in Charlotte.
Audition process
We'd love to learn more about you. Fill out the form below and we'll keep your information on file — if an opening comes up in your section we'll be happy to reach out. We will request an audio or video recording as part of the process.
