GIVING TUESDAY IS A MOVEMENT THAT UNLEASHES
THE POWER OF RADICAL GENEROSITY AROUND THE WORLD.
Giving Tuesday reimagines a world built upon shared humanity and generosity. Our global network collaborates year-round to inspire generosity around the world, with a common mission to build a world where generosity is part of everyday life. Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts, and everyone has something to give.

Few know that nonprofits employ more than 12 million people with payrolls exceeding those of most other U.S. industries including construction, transportation and finance.
Nonprofits are advocates for clean air and water, for quality education, for taking care of our elders, to name a few, and for enriching lives through the arts.
We would like to ask for your support this Giving Tuesday as we look for ways to ensure that our organization not only survives but thrives beyond these difficult and challenging times. As many of you may know, we are no longer in partnership with Queens University due to the renovation of their fine arts center. We were tasked with finding a new home for rehearsals and for equipment and library storage. Losing the financial support of the University has increased our operational expenses tremendously. We all know how inflation has affected almost everything and our expenses have been impacted as well.
With your support, we can continue providing quality music to the Charlotte region, as we have done for over 56 years, while giving musicians the opportunity to keep music in their lives. Music has many great benefits including physical, mental and emotional well-being. There are so many ways that we connect not only with each other but with our community. Our "Musician For A Lifetime" program reaches our youngest and most talented middle school players and provides them with an opportunity that can literally change the course of their lives.
Our 2022-2023 band has exceeded all expectations. We continue to attract amazingly talented players but, along with that, comes the challenge of finding new ways to reach new audiences. Our long-range goal is for all of our concerts to be free. We are not there yet but your support will go a long way towards making that happen. We hope that you can contribute to our cause. There is no amount too small. We thank you in advance for your support and hope to see you soon at one of our performances.
